A different kind of monthly challenge – vision board

If you are just stopping by for the first time, here is a fast summary. In January I decided to challenge myself monthly with a variety of items.  So I started off checking out new podcasts, did a few crafts, meditation, gratitude journaling and more.  Some months it just came together and other months I had to work at it.

Last month I decided to add to my “ideal day” board on Pinterest. This board is where I pin travel, decor, fashion, exercise, well anything I want, that pertains to creating the life I want. In other words a vision board.

So here are a few of my pins from the past month.

Bookstore Lello! Porto, Portugal.

I mean bookstore and travel. Two of my favorite things in one place. Enough said.

I pinned this for the picture.  I love the white walls and how it just comes together with the basket, light fixture and rug.  Sigh.

I thought this was interested so check out Glitter Guide. 20 ideas to do this Fall.

Here is the link Liligal. I really just wanted a few of the tops.  That is often the case with Pinterest. It isn’t necessarily the link you want or need just the idea or picture.

And I leave you with the quote above.  I am selective with my pins to my ideal day board. They have to be something I want to aspire to or see as part of my ideal day.  I have other boards for travel, projects, street art and more you can check out.

This month I think is my hardest challenge. When I originally decided to do this I just wrote ideas down.  A few more challenges came to me as the months progressed. This month my challenge is to write a short story (less than 500 words) using three random words.

I am going to use Text Fixer Site  to generate my three words. I would love it if you came along for the ride.  Wish me luck.

I hope this inspired you to start or add to a vision board.  Below are my previous months challenges for you to check out!

September vision board

July somewhere new

June creative prompts

April loving kindness meditation

March – Sharpie craft

    1. That picture totally grabbed me. I love a good book. It is one of my favorite ways to escape. So needless to say…..the picture was in. thanks for stopping by and commenting.

  1. I am a big fan of setting goals for myself so, I love these monthly challenges. I created a vision board a few months ago with pictures from magazines and hung it up in my room. These were things I want to work on for this year. I accomplished one goal already and will soon be accomplishing another. I’m looking forward to reading your short stories

    1. Thank you. I have enjoyed the challenges this year. The short story I think is the scariest for me to actually put out there! Great you are accomplishing what is on your vision board. I think it can keep us more focused (for me a good thing). So for going for it and creating the life we want.

  2. Those library’s! Gorgeous. I’d love to see them and spend an entire year trying to read through some of the books! Do they allow that?

I’m interested to read the short story! And I think I’m going to try this vision board 🙂

    1. The picture of all the books just caught my eye – can you imagine just browsing all day there. Hope they have a coffee shop! Go for it with the vision board neat way to capture what you are aiming for and interested in. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Cool stuff! We have a lot of the same tastes, I see. Your quote is perfect! Follow your bliss and you will find your purpose….

    1. I have enjoyed doing them the past year. Just trying to come up with different ideas was creative at the beginning. That picture of the bookstore totally caught my eye and imagination. Can you imagine browsing through that!

Would love to hear your ideas and thoughts!
